When I was a child and lived in Kenya, my father took us to stay at the Treetops Hotel. The hotel at the time was built into a large tree overlooking a water hole animals would come and drink. It was one of the experiences that stayed with me all these years. I recently learned that the Treetops hotel was where Queen Elizabeth II was staying when she found out her father had passed and she would become queen of England. Unfortunately, the TreeTops Hotel recently closed because of a lack of business due to COVID. The images below are what I could find of what the hotel looked like when I visited.
